We are a team of trauma specialists, including therapists who have done our own complex trauma healing.
We’ve seen the changes it makes.

Do you feel like parts of your life were taken from you?
Do you expect things to go wrong, even when they’re going well?
Is it hard to trust anyone fully?

You might feel stuck in patterns. Your nervous system is always on. Or you’re completely shut down. You overthink, ruminate, and replay conversations long after they’re over.

Complex trauma isn’t a character flaw. It’s what happens when your system adapts just to survive.

Clients Come To Us With

  • Hypervigilance

  • Chronic anxiety

  • Emotional numbness

  • Nightmares or flashbacks

  • Relationship instability

  • Constant tension

  • Rumination loops

  • Fear of trusting & fear of abandonment

  • People-pleasing to stay safe

  • Feeling fundamentally "broken"

If these symptoms resonate, complex trauma therapy helps to unwind them.

How Complex Trauma Therapy With Us Works

Emotion sensation wheel on pillow in a warm and welcoming therapy office.

We focus on both insight and regulation. Understanding your story matters, but so does calming your nervous system so you can feel safe.

Our work is relational. We build a steady, consistent connection where your system can begin to experience safety. From there, we gently process what happened and teach your brain and body new patterns.

Modalities We Integrate

  • Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) helps your brain finally “unstick” and file away traumatic memories that feel like they’re still happening right now. By taking the emotional sting out of the past, it stops your body’s constant high-alert response so you can finally feel steady in the present.

  • Helps you challenge beliefs shaped by trauma such as it was my fault or I cannot trust anyone, reducing shame and fear.

  • Repairs relational wounds and builds healthier patterns of connection and security.

  • Teaches emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness so you are not overwhelmed by triggers.

  • Body-based tools that calm the nervous system and reduce fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses. Practical skills to help your body learn what safety feels like again.

As your nervous system stabilizes, old patterns shift. Instead of bracing for impact, you get to choose how to feel.

more about me

👋🏼 Hi, I’m Mary

Before joining this practice, I spent years deepening my training in attachment-based theory and therapy. My work focuses on helping clients understand how early relationships shape the patterns they experience in adulthood, especially in the way they connect, communicate, and respond to stress.

Outside of the therapy room, I have practiced yoga for over a decade and find movement essential for calming a fast-moving mind. I live in Houston with my spouse and our two small dogs.
