Do you feel like anger or numbing out are the only emotional gears you have?
Does your life feel like a performance of strength while you’re burning out inside?
Are you exhausted from “fixing” everyone else’s problems while you feel stuck?

Men are often taught that vulnerability is a liability, so you learn to white-knuckle your way through the noise until you completely burn out. You’re checking all the boxes on the outside while feeling completely disconnected or on edge on the inside. Your life doesn’t have to continue this way; there are ways you can soften and learn how to express your needs effectively. We help you quiet the noise so you can be the man you actually want to be.

We bring years of specialized experience working with high-achieving men who feel they have been barely holding it together under the surface.

Men Come To Us When They Experience

  • Anger as their primary emotion

  • Feeling they have nowhere to express their emotions

  • Constant exhaustion

  • Feeling stuck or spread thin

  • Numbing out through alcohol or other substances

  • Feeling disconnected from loved ones

  • Silently carrying the weight of their responsibilities

  • Hidden anxiety

  • Work-life burnout

How Therapy for Men With Us Works

We start with mutual respect and a steady foundation. You don’t need someone to simply vent to, but rather a partner who will help you identify your underlying emotions and help you find clarity in your life. We show up as honest, direct teammates in your corner. We aren't here to judge your choices; we’re here to help you navigate the pressure and find the stability you’ve been looking for.

Sessions are collaborative and proactive. We help you untangle the stuck feeling, manage high-stakes decisions, and develop the communication skills to advocate for yourself, whether that’s in your career, your relationships, or with your family. Our goal is to move you out of autopilot and back into the driver’s seat.

Modalities We Use

  • We look at your "blueprint" for relationships, helping you break old patterns of pulling away or shutting down so you can actually connect with the people who matter.

  • Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) helps you build an understanding behind someone's behavior so you don't jump to the worst conclusion about their intentions. This allows you to slow down and respond to reality rather than reacting to your fears.

  • We identify the internal scripts that keep you stuck in cycles of anger or isolation, giving you the logic and clarity needed to respond rather than react.

  • DBT provides a practical toolkit to handle "high-stakes" stress and big emotions without letting them hijack your career or your home life.

  • We turn down the volume on the harsh inner critic that calls your struggle "weakness," treating compassion as a strategic tool to stop wasting energy fighting yourself.

Real strength isn't a solo act. You don't have to carry the weight in silence.

more about me

👋🏼 Hi, I’m Mary

Before joining this practice, I spent years deepening my training in attachment-based theory and therapy. My work focuses on helping clients understand how early relationships shape the patterns they experience in adulthood, especially in the way they connect, communicate, and respond to stress. I have a strong passion for working specifically with men and find this work deeply meaningful.

Outside of the therapy room, I have practiced yoga for over a decade and find movement essential for calming a fast-moving mind. I live in Houston with my spouse and our two small dogs.
