Does your life feel like too much and you no longer have the energy for?
Are you exhausted from pretending you are okay for the people around you?
Has the weight of the world left you feeling a heavy, constant fatigue?
Depression is often a quiet isolation that makes you feel like you’re drowning in your own responsibilities. You’re checking all the boxes on the outside while feeling nothing on the inside. This isn't a character flaw, it’s your system’s response to a world that feels like too much. We help you quiet the noise and build a life that actually feels worth living.
We have years of specialized experience treating depression in high-intensity clinical settings. We bring a direct, human understanding to the heavy weight of the lows and provide the tools needed to find your way back.

How Therapy for Depression With Us Works
We start by building a foundation of mutual respect and zero pressure. You don’t need another person telling you to “just look on the bright side” or judging you for how hard it feels to simply get through the day. We show up as strategic partners, a steady, honest presence in your corner. We aren't here to lecture you; we’re here to help you navigate the weight of depression and find your way back to the person you actually want to be.
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. We help you untangle the heaviness of depression, quiet the self-criticism that keeps you stuck, and build the practical tools needed to reclaim your energy. Our goal is to help you move past feeling as though you are on autopilot and develop the skills to advocate for your own needs, whether that’s in your career, your relationships, or within your own family.
Modalities We Use
-
DBT provides a practical toolkit to manage the lows and the stress that can make life feel paralyzing. We focus on building emotional resilience and mindfulness so you can stay grounded even when the fog of depression feels too much.
-
We explore how early relationships shaped your view of the world and work to heal the deep-seated isolation that often fuels depression. This helps you build a secure foundation within yourself so you can show up more fully in your current relationships.
-
We work to identify and quiet the loud, self-critical inner voice that keeps you stuck in a loop of hopelessness and fatigue. By untangling these automatic patterns, you gain the clarity needed to move from autopilot back into intentional living.
-
Master the art of living through the fog. Instead of waiting for your depression to disappear before you start living, we help you identify your core values right now. We provide the tools to help you take small, purposeful steps toward what matters to you, even when motivation feels out of reach.
-
Depression isn't just in your head, it lives in your body, often showing up as a heavy, constant exhaustion or a shut down state. We use body-based techniques to help your nervous system slowly reclaim its energy so you can feel present in your life again.
-
We work to turn down the volume on the harsh internal critic that tells you you’re failing or falling behind. This isn't about being soft; it’s a strategic tool to help you stop wasting your limited energy beating yourself up, so you can actually find the strength to move forward.
Trade the exhaustion of just surviving for a life that actually feels real again.

more about me
👋🏼 Hi, I’m Mary
Before founding this practice, I specialized in treating complex mental health and depression through intensive training at The Menninger Clinic and J. Flowers Health Institute. My work focuses on how persistent sadness and feeling stuck are often tied to early attachment patterns, helping you untangle those roots to rediscover a sense of vitality and genuine connection.
Outside of the therapy room, I have practiced yoga for over a decade and find movement essential for calming a fast-moving mind. I live in Houston with my spouse and our two small dogs.

I was raised in Houston and feel deeply connected to the community here. In my free time, I enjoy getting lost in a good book, gardening, and spending time with my partner and our three dogs.

I work as your teammate to help you rediscover your unique strengths and move toward a values-driven life, even when it feels like the fog is too thick to see the way forward.
I live in Houston and feel deeply connected to the local community. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops, cooking for my family, and spending time with my spouse, child, and our scruffy terrier mix.
